Alexander Shandor is an artist from Vynohradiv, Ukraine. His work has been presented in numerous Ukrainian and international exhibitions, including plein air sessions, and is held in private collections and galleries in Ukraine and abroad. His paintings are defined by expressive landscapes and a vibrant, color-driven approach. Using bold brushstrokes and a rich palette, he captures the atmosphere and emotional essence of nature rather than strict realism. Depicting rural scenes, mountains, rivers, and seasonal changes, his work is built through dynamic light and color. Thick textures and confident strokes create a sense of movement and immediacy, inviting the viewer to experience the scene. Balancing impressionistic sensitivity with strong contrasts, his paintings convey both the energy and tranquility of the natural world.
