Working at the intersection of Art Nouveau elegance and contemporary digital craft, Markus Hermannsdorfer transforms the living world into luminous, jewel-like compositions. Inspired by the golden filigree of cloisonné enamelwork and the transcendent light of stained glass, each piece reimagines its subject as an intricate mosaic of translucent amber, pearl, and teal — held together by flowing lines of burnished gold. Animals, in all their quiet dignity, are a recurring muse. Markus Hermannsdorfer finds in their forms the perfect architecture for organic curves and decorative segmentation — a visual language that honours both the creature and the craft. Every artwork invites the viewer to slow down and look closer, discovering new details within each glowing panel. The result is something that feels at once ancient and entirely new — decorative art for a contemporary world, rooted in the timeless beauty of light passing through colour.
